The Qatari Armed Forces celebrated Thursday the graduation of a training course for officers of artillery sites no. 5. The course lasted 21 weeks and saw 12 officers from the Jassim bin Mohammed brigade and fire support.
The graduation ceremony was attended by Deputy Commander of Emiri Land Forces Major-General Mohammed Rashid Al Hajri.
The Directorate of Moral Guidance at the Ministry of Defense said that the course included a visit to the Sultanate of Oman to its artillery school in Izki. There was also application of the theoretical and practical principles learned in the course as the officers carried out field training in Rasis.
Captain Hamad Mohammed Al Ahbabi, commander of artillery at the land forces academy, said that the course was one of the most important in training the officers as it followed the latest developments of modern arms in the Qatari Emiri Land Forces.
