The Serbian based “Dukat” ensemble will perform folkloric shows at the amphitheatre in the Cultural Village Foundation – Katara during the weekend on the 14th and 15th of February.
The shows are within the Cultural Diversity festival Katara organize to host in cultures of different nations from around the world.
Established in 1993, the “Dukat” grew very quickly and performed in many countries around the world such as China, South Korea, Cyprus, Algeria to France, Austria, Poland, Italy, Romania but also in former Yugoslavia countries like Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro etc.
“In our program, you will see dances from whole Serbia, that have different costumes and different type of dance, but we are proud to show you dances from other nations that live in Serbia and that have been part of our heritage - dances of Hungarians, Croatians, Macedonians, Gipsy dances and much more”, the Dukat members said.
All dances are follow with live music and an orchestra that brings a real feel of Serbian tradition but also shows how people used to celebrate, relax and dance on special occasions when they had cause to celebrate.
