As part of its community service and continuation of its tradition, the Pakistan Arts Society-Qatar (PAS) will host the third mass community iftar on the main campus of Pak Shamaa School and College in Mesaimeer area on May 24 (Friday).
The forum has invited all community members (men only) to attend the iftar party.
PAS Chairman M A Shahid made this announcement at a general body meeting held in the presence of President Muhammad Abrar Hussain and committee members.
“We would like to invite people from all walks of life to attend the event. We will contact institutions like schools, socio-cultural organisations, and business and contracting organisations to join us in this grand event,” Shahid said.
“There are many community members who are not listed on PAS community circular list and might be interested in joining various events hosted by PAS. We request them to contact us and confirm their availability to attend the iftar party by sending us an e-mail at [email protected] or by visiting Pakistan Arts Society-Qatar’s Facebook page at: www.facebook.com/PASqatar for registration,” added Shahid.
Iftar events provide excellent opportunity for the community members to meet and greet each other and foster the bonds of friendship. Muslims believe that helping someone to break the fast is very rewarding.
