While the infected person in Saudi had come from Iran through Bahrain, the one in Jordan had travelled to Italy recently.
According to Saudi reports, the person did not disclose to Saudi authorities that they had visited Iran before Bahrain.
The Kingdom's health ministry said it sent an infection control team immediately to check on the citizen, and to take a sample for laboratory examination, as part of its precautionary measures.
The results confirmed the man was infected with COVID-19.
The ministry said it had ensured that the infected person remained isolated in hospital and is receiving medical treatment.
In addition, all those who contacted the infected person were counted, and samples were taken from them for examination by the National Center for Disease Prevention and Control.
In Jordan, Two people showing coronavirus symptoms came forward on Sunday night for testing but only one tested positive. The other person was placed in quarantine as a precautionary measure.
Three family members of the infected person are also being tested. If no additional infections are confirmed, those who were in contact with the coronavirus patient will remain in a home quarantine for 14 days, the health minister said.
He also confirmed Jordan is fully prepared for the situation and it is not possible for anyone to come in direct contact with the infected person in quarantine.
