The Ministry of Municipality and Environment (Baladiya) has decided to close all parks and public beaches until further notice in order to ensure safety of the public amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The ministry has also announced that the 2020 camping season will come to an end on Monday (March 22) and the camps would be removed by Wednesday (March 25).
These measures are aimed at minimising large public gatherings and reducing the chances of transmitting the virus.
The ministry has called on the public to fully comply with the decisions.
Stressing that it would intensify its inspection campaigns to ensure compliance, the ministry said it would book everyone found violating the ministerial decisions.
