All restaurants, cafes and food outlets in Doha Corniche, Al Khor, Lusail and Aspire Park will stay shut from Sunday, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry has said in a tweet.
This directive is part of the ministry's measures to encourage social distancing amid the coronavirus outbreak in Qatar.
Earlier, the ministry asked restaurants and cafes across the country to closed their dining rooms, but continue takeaway and home-delivery services.
It had also asked retail stores except for supermarkets, food outlets and pharmacies in commercial complexes to shut. This decision, however, does not apply to shops outside the complexes. The ministry has also closed several souqs in different parts of the country.
Qatar has so far confirmed 481 cases of coronavirus. While 27 people have recovered, there has been no death due to the virus in the country. As many as 10,358 persons have been tested so far for the disease.
