The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani on Sunday received a written message from Secretary-General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Jens Stoltenberg.
In the message, which was delivered through diplomatic channels, the NATO Secretary-General congratulated the Amir on the efforts of Qatar to reach an agreement to bring peace to Afghanistan.
Stoltenberg affirmed that during the past 15 years, Qatar has been an important and reliable partner of NATO, extending thanks to HH the Amir for his great personal support to strengthening the relations between Qatar and NATO.
Stoltenberg said he’s looking forward to further progress in the joint dialogue and strengthening of the partnership between Qatar and NATO. He stressed that NATO and its partners in the Gulf region are facing the same security challenges that require more cooperation.
