The Ministry of Interior (MoI) has arrested 10 people for violating the decision to ban gatherings in public places.
“The defendants were arrested after the spread of a video clip on social media showing a group of people gathering in the sand dunes area in southern Qatar,” the MoI said in a tweet.
The competent authorities reached out to the violators and those who photographed them and they are being referred to the prosecution, it added.
The authorities have called upon the general public to strictly follow the decision to prevent gatherings in public places in order to safeguard themselves and the community.
