Qatar’s Ambassador to Italy HE Abdulaziz bin Ahmed al Malki described Qatar’s COVID-19 medical aid to Italy as an expression of the close relationship between the two friendly countries and a sign of solidarity.

The envoy made the remarks after the fourth Qatari Amiri Air Force Aircraft arrived in Italy with medical aid on Monday. Qatar sent the medical aid to Italy following the directives of the Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani.

Ambassador Malki described the bilateral relations between Doha and Rome as excellent and expressed confidence that Italy would will overcome the coronavirus ordeal.

The ambassador stressed the need for all peoples to unite to contain and eliminate the coronavirus pandemic.
