Al Rawnaq Trading on Monday said all its branches in Qatar will stay closed from April 21 until further notice to complement Qatar government's efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19.
The group said the "extreme crowding" at its stores during working hours that have been limited as part of the pandemic precaution also led to the decision.
"The decision was taken despite the material losses that we will be exposed to, especially in this season, but the public interest of our dear country is of utmost importance to us," the group said in an Instagram post on Monday.
