Barwa holds emergency coordination meeting

DOHA BARWAReal Estate Chairman Hitmi bin Ali al Hitmi held an emergency co-ordination meeting with Group CEO & MD Mohamed Asad al Emadi to discuss news leaks on some resolutions made by Barwa senior management and other issues related to the parent company and its subsidiaries.

It was agreed at the meeting to accelerate developing the business plan of the company and its subsidiaries for the current phase, before submitting the to the board of directors for discussion and approval It was also resolved that the board of directors shall convene over the next few days to discuss short, medium and long term strategies, a company press release said.

The meeting stressed that Qatari employees are top priority and one of the most important assets of the company.

In addition, Barwa is always keen to enable Qatari’s to qualify to fill various vacancies at different managerial levels.

It also aligned its strategy to contribute to the realisation of Qatar 2030 through human development.

Barwa supports Qatari nationals by offering them education, training and scholarship opportunities through various schemes and will continue to do so to support the national economy and Qatar 2030.

The meeting also denied any leaked news related to cancellation of Barwa sponsorships, and said it continues as planned.

Both officials stressed that all resolutions are taken in the best interests of Barwa shareholders and other stakeholders.
