GODREJ Locking Solutions and
Systems, India´s leading player
in locking solutions, is eyeing the
Qatari market for major retail
expansion, a top company official
has said.
"Currently we have a 5 percent
market share in Qatar. We are
aiming to double it to 10 percent
by 2017," Prasad Sane, head of
international business at Godrej
Locking Solutions and Systems,
told Qatar Tribune in an
interview.
Established in 1897, the Godrej
group has a turnover of over $3.3
billion and 25 percent of its
business is done overseas.
According to Sane, the market
size of locking solutions in Qatar
is about $25-30 million, and
Godrej is looking to tap this market

PIPELINE builder Enbridge
Inc. is investing nearly $4 billion
in a new round of construction
that will increase
the flow of Canadian oil sands
crude to the US Gulf Coast.
Enbridge, Canada´s largest
transporter of crude, said
Tuesday it will expand its
Flanagan South Pipeline
from Flanagan, Illinois to
Cushing, Oklahoma to a 36-
inch (.9-meter) diameter line
with a capacity of 585,000
barrels per day.
The Flanagan pipeline,
expected to be in service by
mid-2014, will be built along
the route of Enbridge´s existing
pipeline from southeast of
Chicago to Oklahoma.

Enbridge said it will
twin the jointly owned Seaway

SPAIN´S unemploymentscarred
economy has skidded
back into recession, a Bank of
Spain report said on Tuesday,
days before a general strike
and a biting austerity budget.
The report confirmed
widespread forecasts of a
second straight quarterly
slump in the first three
months of 2012, sending
Spain back into recession
barely two years after it
emerged from the last one.
"The most recent information
relating to the beginning
of 2012 confirms a continuation
of the contraction of
activity in the first quarter of
this year," the bank said in its
March economic bulletin.
It was grim news for a country
suffering from a near-23
percent unemployment rate,
