launched the new MotoGP season
at the Losail International
Circuit in his trademark style.
The Australian finished on the
top of the first free practice session
of the premier class racing,
on Thursday.

time of 54.30 followed by

Circuit is like a second home
track for reigning MotoGP
world champion Casey
Stoner. After the Philip
Islands, where the
Australian has been unbeaten
for five successive years,
his record in Qatar is quite
formidable.
Stoner has won four out of
five MotoGP races at Losail.
Two years ago, he was at the
forefront of the race and
looked like to be in firm control.
But coming out of a corner,
he crashed out, failing
to control his Ducati with
full tank petrol.
Talking about his feelings
and confidence ahead of the
weekend´s race under the
Musco floodlights, the double
world champion said,
"We just need to find out
what the bike is like here
