Activities (QCVA) celebrated
the Qatar National Volunteer
Day at the Al Rayyan Theatre
in Souq Waqif on Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion,
Minister of Culture, Arts and
Heritage HE Dr Hamad bin
Abdulaziz al Kuwari expressed
his admiration for the venue
which, he noted, would serve
as an important addition to
the country´s cultural infrastructure.
"This is the ninth such event,
which we hold annually to honour
outstanding volunteers in
the community.
Coincidentally, I happened to
have volunteered earlier to
attend a talk on disaster readiness
which was organised by
the Qatari Red Crescent," the
minister said.
