ExxonMobil exclusive partner of Heir Apparent Cup football

DOHA ExxonMobil has signed as the exclusive partner of the Heir Apparent Cup football for the second consecutive year. This was declared by Qatar Stars League at a press conference, held on Tuesday.

Spanning more than a week, the football tournament, involving the top four finishing teams of the QSL, is one of Qatar’s most prestigious events on the sporting calendar. The high class of competition and excitement, generated by the HA Cup matches, bring people together from all over Qatar.

The matches are held on the knock-out basis. Fourth-placed Al Sadd will kick-off the event against QSL champion Lekhwiya on April 21. The second and third-placed Al Rayyan and El Jaish will go head to head on Sunday.The winners of the semi-finals will then qualify for the final on Thursday.

President of QSL, Sheikh Hamad Khalifa bin Ahmed al Thani explained: “Since winning the hosting rights of 2022 FIFA World Cup, Qatar is in the global spotlight as one of the fastest rising football nations to watch for. So it is imperative that we commit to our legacy of lifting our standards and living more than up to expectations. At the same time, we collectively use this platform to communicate globally about not only the increasing football standards, but also showcasing what Qatar has to offer across the board in terms of business and corporate social responsibility. It is an honor and a pleasure that ExxonMobil is once again aligned with our vision and supporting the Qatar Stars League and HH Heir Apparent Cup.” Saleh al Mana, Vice- President and Director of Government and Public Affairs for ExxonMobil Qatar, said, “ExxonMobil is pleased to support the Qatar Stars League once again as an Exclusive Partner of the Heir Apparent Cup.
