QP’s offshore operations holds ‘recognition’ event

TRIBUNE NEWS NETWORK

DOHA QATAR Petroleum’s offshore operations held its ‘Annual Recognition Ceremony’ at the Al Ghazal Club recently.

The main objective of the event was to honour its managers and employees who have distinguished themselves for their outstanding performance in 2011.

During the event, Mubarak Awaida al Hajri, operations manager at offshore fields, expressed his gratitude for the support of Minister of Energy and Industry, and Chairman and Managing Director of QP HE Dr Mohammad bin Saleh al Sada, as well as for the guidance of Director Operations of QP Said Mubarak al Mohannadi.

Hajri then distributed recognition certificates to deserving offshore managers and employees for their valuable contribution in achieving the department’s safety objectives and business targets.

Also among those recognised were members of the Offshore Operations Specialized Team (OOST), Plant Change Request (PCR) team, Continual Improvement (CI) team, as well as offshore employees who actively participated in QP events, such as the QP Environment Fair 2012. Hajri also recognised the manager of offshore engineering from QP’s technical directorate.

“I would like to congratulate all our awardees this year. I am confident that their excellent on-the-job performance would effectively serve as an ideal example for other employees to follow, thus enabling our department to attain greater achievements and even higher standards of professionalism in our offshore operations,” said Hajri.

Speaking on the occasion, Hajri strongly emphasised that QP’s offshore operations gives full priority to health, safety and environmental protection, stressing that these were fully integrated in their daily activities. He also announced that four offshore departments have already achieved a milestone of one million man-hours without lost time incident.
