ASD Global Citizenship Fund finances 7 projects
THE American School of Doha (ASD) Global Citizenship Fund Committee has provided financial support to seven individual and group projects since January this year, according to committee chairperson Ann Durham. The projects financed made a difference in the community, including the school, Qatari and global communities. Speaking at the Fund´s committee meeting where the group reviewed its accomplishments on Monday, Director of ASD Deborah Welch said the Global Citizenship Fund was developed as a resource to support positive and active global citizenship within the ASD community. Indian schools in Qatar shine in CBSE class XII exams
MES INDIAN School students bagged the top three positions in science stream among all the Indian schools in Qatar while it shared the top position in commerce stream along with Ideal Indian School in the class 12 examinations of Central Board of Secondary School Education (CBSE). The examination´s results were announced on Monday. Aakifah Rahman of MES Indian School topped Qatar scoring 487 (97.40 percent) marks in the science stream while Dhanya Joppachen of Ideal Indian School and Sana Zeenal Britto of MES Indian School shared the honours in commerce stream with 96.4 percent marks. MES students bagged all the first three positions in the Science Stream.
