The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) has completed a project to electronically link 97 diplomatic and consular missions abroad with the ministry's headquarters.
Qatari diplomatic missions abroad can now use all of the ministry's programmes and internal electronic systems in the ministry's office effectively and safely without access to the internet, the ministry said.
This is a major achievement in terms of the speed and accuracy in handling processes between the ministry and its missions abroad.
The ministry pointed out that the actual implementation of the project began in 2016 as part of its strategic plan to develop its work system and provide protection to its various programmes and electronic systems.
It is the largest technological project in the history of the ministry. To complement this achievement, the information systems department also launched websites for 97 Qatari diplomatic missions abroad.
