A 55-member business delegation led by Qatar Chamber (QC) Chairman Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohammed al Thani is in Kuwait as part of a two-day business tour of the country.
The visit is aimed at establishing a forum for business in the two countries to discuss ways to enhance trade relations, review mutual investment opportunities and build alliances and joint ventures between Qatari and Kuwaiti businessmen.
The delegation will also participate in Wednesday's"Qatari-Kuwaiti Business Forum" being held to strengthen cooperation between the two countries.
The forum also aims to increase trade exchange, explore investment opportunities for both sides and discuss the possibility of establishing trade and business alliances between Qatari businessmen and their counterparts in Kuwait.
The forum, which will be jointly inaugurated by the QC chairman and his Kuwait counterpart Ali Mohamed al Ghanim, features a series of dialogue and B2B meetings between businessmen of the two countries.
It will also have presentations to highlight the Kuwait Vision 2035, Qatar National Vision 2030, public-private projects and investment opportunities in the two countries.
Qatar Chamber Director-General Saleh bin Hamad al Sharqi said the visit came in the framework of Qatar Chamber's efforts to promote trade and investment between the two sides for the benefit of the Qatari private sector.
He lauded the strong fraternal ties between Qatar and Kuwait, which contribute to developing cooperation among the businessmen of the two countries.
Sharqi noted that the business forum would provide a good opportunity for businessmen to explore the investment opportunities available in Qatar and Kuwait.
The visit will see the forging of several trade partnerships and alliances between Qatari and Kuwaiti companies for the advantage of both the economies, he added.
