Canadian delegation to visit Qatar to study siege impact

Doha: A high-ranking Canadian delegation will arrive in Qatar on February 23 on a six-day visit to have a closer look at the humanitarian impact of the Saudi-led siege on the citizens and residents of the country, as well as other GCC citizens.
The visit is being organised in cooperation between the Qatar National Human Rights Committee (NHRC) and the Qatari-Canadian friendship society. The visit will also seek to enhance strategic cooperation between Qatari institutions and their Canadian counterparts in all fields.
The Canadian delegation will include members of its NGO community, ambassadors, former military personnel, researchers in international relations and representatives from research centres of Canadian universities. (QNA)
