Ooredoo will hold its Special Number Auction 2018 at the Ooredoo Tower in West Bay on April 18, where 30 easy-to-remember numbers will be released to the public.
At the event, customers can bid for their favourite numbers which often start with the same number or have several of the same numbers or parallel digits.
Ooredoo is expecting a strong demand for the special numbers and a host of VIP's in attendance, the telecom company said in a press statement on Sunday.
Registration for the auction will start at 3pm and the auction will begin at 6pm. Interested Ooredoo customers must bring their QID to the registration, the company said.
This year, in the interest of fairness, Ooredoo has capped bids at QR750,000 and bids begin at QR30,000.
Once bought, numbers will remain under the administrative authority of the Ministry of Transport and Communications and will be returned to Ooredoo after one year. (TNN)
