DOHA The Emir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Economic Affairs and Investment, presided over the council's second meeting of 2018 at Al Bahr Palace on Wednesday.
The council was briefed on the latest developments in energy and investment sectors. The council reviewed the major achievements of the first National Development Strategy (NDS) 2011-2016 and the challenges it faced.
The Emir underlined the need to benefit from the lessons learned from the implementation of the first strategy to avoid any obstacles that may arise during the implementation of the second strategy 2018-22 (NDS 2).
Deputy Emir and Vice Chairman of the Council HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al Thani, the executive member, and members of the council attended the meeting. (QNA)
