THE Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al Thani chaired the Cabinet's regular meeting, held at the Emiri Diwan on Wednesday.
Following the meeting, the Minister of Justice and Acting Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs HE Dr Hassan bin Lahdan al Hassan al Mohannadi spelt out the topics discussed and decisions taken.
The Cabinet approved a draft decision of HE the Minister of Interior on amending some of the provisions of the Interior Minister's decision No 8 of 2012 on the conditions and procedures for licensing the establishment of security training centres and organising their works.
It also approved a draft decision of HE the Minister of Interior on amending some of the provisions of the Interior Minister decision No 9 of 2012 to determine the licensing fees of private security services companies and medical examination of their employees, as well as for the rental of firearms and licenses for private security training centres and the provision of security consultations.
A joint work mechanism between the Ministry of Finance and the Qatar Fund for Development to determine the types of scholarships offered to non-Qatari students through the adoption of the Qatar Scholarship Program was also approved by the Cabinet.
The Cabinet also approved a ratification of the agreement on cooperation in education between the Government of the State of Qatar and the Government of the Republic of Panama. (QNA)
