Ten-man Barcelona drew 2-2 away at Celta Vigo on Tuesday to move to within six points of the Spanish league title.
Ernesto Valverde's team now need two wins to confirm themselves as Champions. They might have won this won had Iago Aspas not scored with his hand eight minutes from time.
Valverde left top scorers Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez on the bench but saw his team go ahead on 36 minutes through Ousmane Dembele.
He scored from distance after Paco Alcacer had played him in from Philippe Coutinho's pass after Jonny Castro gave the ball away.
Jonny made amends when he scored the equalizer on 45 minutes from Maxi Gomez' cross after Andre Gomes lost possession.
Messi came on after the hour mark and Barcelona got themselves back in front four minutes later.
Paulinho connected with Nelson Semedo's cross although Alcacer appeared to get the final touch and may yet claim the goal.
Barcelona should have been home and dry but Sergio Roberto was sent off for bringing down Aspas as he went through on goal. With a man advantage Celta finished strongly and Aspas scored the equalizer with his arm on 82 minutes after Marc Andre ter Stegen spilled the ball at his near post.
Celta Vigo coach Juan Carlos Unzue said:"When Leo [Messi] and Sergio [Roberto] came on they had more chances but we got through it."
Asked about the huge contribution from Aspas, who now has 20 league goals this season, he said:"He's vital. Not just for the goals that he has scored but for his contagious attitude on the pitch."
Barcelona coach Valverde said:"It's another point. We just need two more victories now.
"It was difficult at times especially when we had Sergio Roberto sent off. We had to take a step back but we held on."
Barcelona are away to Deportivo La Coruna next and could win the title when they play Real Madrid at home in the following fixture.
Elsewhere Tuesday Sevilla drew 0-0 at Deportivo La Coruna and ~Villarreal beat Leganes 2-1.
Meanwhile, Iago Aspas will be out for around three weeks with a hamstring injury, his club have confirmed. Aspas felt the pain in his right leg after he scored a late equaliser in Celta's 2-2 draw at home to Barcelona on Tuesday. The 30-year-old underwent an ultrasound scan on Wednesday, which revealed the extent of the damage.
Aspas, who is La Liga's top Spanish scorer with 19 goals this season, is now set to miss league games against Valencia, Villarreal and Deportivo La Coruna.
