The Social Development Center (Nama) organised the interactive workshop of the Aspiration & Achievement 2030 Campaign to motivate students to contribute to the achievement of Qatar National Vision (QNV) 2030.
The event was attended by several Qatari and non-Qatari participants.
The main objective of the campaign was to urge members to be a part of the QNV achievement process. Different social figures have joined and discussed their projects and the training courses that they delivered which were linked to QNV four pillars in order to encourage young people to innovate and excel socially to contribute to Qatar's prosperity.
During the event, the main positive points were mentioned to encourage members to interact with the campaign. Each member can join by logging to the webpage of NAMA www.nama.org.qa and sending a video about any of QNV four pillars.
In the video, participant should express his/her ability to contribute to the vision objectives achievement and turn it to actions.
Aspiration & Achievement 2030 Campaign is the first of its kind in this area.
Through the campaign, NAMA is looking to support its role to help young people and enhance their participation socially in an effective manner to support the efforts of the country's development and progress in all areas.
The workshop comes within the framework of the Nama Center's efforts to achieve positive interaction among the youth with the campaign, in addition to strong dissemination and promotion of its goals and activities.
After campaign was launched, Nama Center made some awareness visits to introduce audience to the campaign objectives, including Um Mabd Preparatory School for Girls and many other schools.
These visits witnessed great interaction by male and female students, who expressed happiness with the campaign's goals. Students have also participated in the campaign's weekly competition.
Noor al Tamimi won competition's Environmental Development category last week, while Shaikha Ali al Qahtani won Human Development category. Both winners were honoured at the centre.
The campaign aimed at shedding lights on the role that youth plays to develop community and raising the awareness of youth to contribute to achieve QNV towards sustainable development.
The centre's staff coordinated orientation visits, in which awareness workshops were held for each of Qatar Social Work Foundation sister institutions which are Protection and Social Rehabilitation Centre (AMAN), Center for Empowerment and Elderly Care (Ehsan), Family Consulting Center (WIFAQ), Orphans Care Center (Dreama), Shafallah Center, in addition to Best Buddies Initiative.
Other public institutions visited included Government Liaison Office, Ministry of Development Planning and Statistics, Qatar University and Hamad Bin Khalifa University.
The centre participated in the 'Vision Qatar 2030' workshop organised by Mega Center for Management Training in cooperation with the Youth Center for Hobbies at Katara. It was presented by Nasser al Malki and Aisha al Tamimi as a part of the campaign activities.
The centre's schedule includes some visits that aim at raising the awareness of campaign and motivating youth to achieve QNV. The centre is looking to expanding visits in the future targeting youth centres and social institutions to enhance the vision and mission of the campaign.
