THE Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs has been keen to ensure success of its website 'Islamweb' that has benefited the public for 20 years through constantly upgrading the website in order to enhance its accessibility and navigation and make it more user-friendly, according to the Director of the Department of Religious Guidance at the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Malallah al Jaber.
This came during a press conference in Doha on Sunday, organised by the ministry to inaugurate its revamped website. Jaber noted that the website's visitors can notice the unique designs, colours and sections of the upgraded website, which make access to information quicker and more straightforward.
He added:"At the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, we value the importance of modern electronic media and their great potential in the field of Islamic guidance and Sharia. Thus, our efforts aim at keeping up with digital advancements and technology with the support of our qualified experts and developers contributing to the Qatar National Vision 2030."
Director of the Islamic network in the Department of Religious Guidance,Jassim bin Abdullah al Ali, said:"On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the launch of the Islamic network website 'Islamweb' and in consideration of the users' demands to upgrade the website, we are introducing a new and attractively unique design that reflects the website's goals and supports its many languages including Arabic, German, French, Spanish and English."
Ali noted that the upgraded website was designed using the latest techniques and following international standards of performance. Furthermore, the website was tested for security in order to prevent its hacking, according to him.
