THE Amir His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani issued on Tuesday Amiri Decision No (48) of 2018 appointing Mohammed Hamad Saad al Fuhaid al Hajri as Qatar's ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Iran.
HH the Amir also issued Amiri Decision No (49) of 2018 appointing Ali Hamad Ali Mohammed al Sulaiti as the ambassador to the Republic of Peru.
The decisions are effective from the date of issue and are to be published in the official gazette. (QNA)
Meanwhile, HH the Amir issued an instrument of ratification approving a draft agreement between Qatar and Argentina on the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income and on capital and the draft protocol thereto, which was signed in Washington on April 19, 2018.
HH the Amir also ratified the Protocol to Eliminate Illicit Trade in Tobacco Products adopted at the fifth session of the Conference of the Parties to the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control on November 12, 2012 in Seoul.
Furthermore, HH the Amir issued Decree No (36) of 2018, ratifying a memorandum of understanding on cooperation between the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Qatar and the National Commission for Culture and the Arts of the Philippines, signed in Doha on April 16, 2017.
HH the Amir also issued Decree No (37) of 2018, ratifying a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Qatar and the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Iraq, which was signed in Doha on January 16, 2018.
HH the Amir issued Decree No (38) of 2018, ratifying a memorandum of understanding between the governments of Qatar and Indonesia, signed in Jakarta on October 18, 2017.
All the decrees will have the force of law in line with Article (68) of the Constitution and are effective from their date of issue and are to be published in the official gazette.
