"We felt as if we were watching the games in winter, thanks to the stadium's cooling technology," said Tunisian envoy Salhi while watching the Tunisia vs England match at the fan zone.
A number of diplomats and prominent media personalities also visited the fan zone, including Al Kass Sports Channel General Manager Essa bin Abdullah al Hitmi, and Aljazeera presenter Mohammed Krishan, among others.
Hitmi, who also watched the Tunisia-England match at the Khalifa International Stadium Fan Zone said,"The atmosphere in the stadium is very exciting and lively. We feel as if we're watching the games sitting in Russia. I'm impressed with the cooling technology that has successfully lowered the temperature to 22oC."
The fan zone has also received wide media coverage from local and international media outlets.
Several fans in attendance said they were impressed with the Khalifa Fan Zone and praised the efforts made by Aspire Zone Foundation and the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy for organising it.
