THE Ministry of Education and Higher Education will open 10 summer recreation centres and activities on July 17, with five centres each for girls and boys located in and outside of Doha.
Head of Events and Activities Department at the Ministry Fatima al Obaidli said the centres target all students of government schools within the age group of six to 18 years nationals and residents and nationals in private schools.
She added that the activities will cover cultural, intellectual, social, sporting, artistic, recreational, educational and technological fields to keep the students occupied, sharpen their skills, discover their talents and promote schools as an educational institute that serves the society.
She urged the parents to register their children and allow them to participate and enjoy the summer activities made available at the centres. Registration will be open on July 15.
The activities of the summer recreation centres will begin on July 17 and will run until August 16 from 10am to 1pm. (QNA)
