The bus ticket counter opened by Mowasalat at the Hamand International Airports (HIA) has now turned into information centre providing round-the-clock information about the public transportation network in Qatar.
Located opposite Qatar Duty Free shop at the arrival terminal, the counter provides information related to the fast growing public transportation network such as details about different routes and time schedule of all the fleets that connects different places in the country.
"It is our commitment to inspire and encourage public to use the public transportation system. Now, Karwa buses are well connected with commercial and industrial hubs of the country. From HIA itself Karwa buses offer direct service to Al Khor and Industrial Area," a senior official of Mowasalat told Qatar Tribune.
In an effort to communicate well with first time visitors from different parts of the world, Mowasalat has deployed bilinguals at the bus ticket counter round the clock.
The counter will issue Karwa Smart Card against valid travel documents, local currency and credit card.
An Asian expatriate said,"As a first-time visitor, transportation seemed a big challenge for me. The information given on the day of my arrival helped me a lot in the following days for job hunt and visiting important landmarks."
"Mowasalat will further expand its facilities at HIA that includes additional services, services to new destinations and self re-charge machines of Karwa Smart Card," the Mowasalat official added.
