African expatriates have praised the organisers of the Qatar Fan Zone Ali Bin Hamad Al Attiyah Arena for providing them a platform to watch the FIFA World Cup that concluded on Sunday in Russia.
The venue drew more than 70,000 fans from all walks of life as the month-long tournament ran its course. Besides offering the visitors facility to watch the matches on giant screens, the venue also provided various family-friendly activities.
Jonathan, a Kenyan expatriate, said, “It was a great experience to watch the matches from the Qatar Fan Zone. The screen was huge and it made us feel as though we were in Russia.”
“We would like to thank the organisers for giving us the opportunity. The Fan Zone gave a glimpse of how the World Cup would look like when Qatar hosts the tournament in 2022,” said a Ghanaian expatriate.
