QATAR Charity (QC) and the Water Supply and Sanitation Collaborative Council (WSSCC), affiliated to the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a strategic cooperation aiming at implementing joint projects, sharing experiences and finding funding opportunities for cooperation and partnership in the field of humanitarian and development work, under the support and sponsorship of Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD).
The MoU, which was agreed on the sidelines of the High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development at the UN Headquarters in New York, was signed by Advisor to the Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Charity Yousefal Hammadi and Executive Director of the WSSCC Rolf Luyendijk.
The MoU aims at establishing a cooperation through which Qatar Charity becomes an executive partner for the programmes and projects of the Water Supply and Sanitation Collaborative Council.

Deputy Director-General of Planning at Qatar Fund for Development Ali Abdullah al Dabbagh said that the partnership between QC and WSSCCwill effectively contribute to the efforts towards developing the field of sanitation at the international level and to promote the aspects of cooperation in education and health sectors.
Advisor to the Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Charity Yousefal Hammadi stressed the importance of cooperation and building strategic partnerships to confront the challenges of development and humanitarian work, especially with the increasing number of displaced people and refugees worldwide.
