Chandan Mitra resigns from BJP, may join TMC

New Delhi Senior BJP leader and former Rajya Sabha member Chandan Mitra has resigned from the party, a source said on Wednesday."He has sent his resignation to party president (Amit Shah),"said the source close to Mitra, refusing to divulge the details or reasons behind his resignation. However, there was no confirmation from the BJP whether his resignation has been accepted or not. There were speculations that Mitra may join the Trinamool Congress (TMC). (IANS)
