THE public transport company of Qatar, Mowasalat, in cooperation with competent authorities and the public, is set to provide services for the people around the clock during Eid Al Adha festivities.
On the blissful occasion of the coming Eid festival, Mowasalat's Chairman Nasser bin Mohammed al Malki extended his heartiest greetings to the Amir His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani, Father Amir HH Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al Thani and Deputy Amir HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al Thani and all the honourable people of Qatar.
"On the solemn occasion of Eid Al Adha, we wish that Qatar always enjoys security, welfare and prosperity under the wise leadership of His Highness the Amir," he added.
"It is our endeavour to work closely with our stakeholders and the Ministry of Transport and Communications to deliver as per the plan and contribute to achieving the ministry's vision of providing a modern sustainable transport network to serve the community," he also said.
Mowasalat's Managing Director & CEO Khalid Nasser al Hail said:"As part of the transport network development plan in the State, several modifications, changes and new routes have taken place under the guidance of the Ministry of Transport and Communications in line with National Transport Master Plan this year. All this information has been widely published and is also available on our website."
Mowasalat has announced that buses on busy routes will have extended operating hours until 1am for three days from August 21 to 23.
The buses having extended timing are as follows: 10, 11, 12, 21, 31, 32, 33, 33A, 34, 40, 41, 43, 49, 55, 56, 57, 76, 94,102X, 104B, 109, 129, 156, 107A, 301, 304 and 777.
In addition, 104B which plies between Doha Bus Station and Shehaniya, and 170A, which runs from Doha Bus Station to Doha Festival City, will be operating during extended hours as replacement for 104A and 170.
Those routes not mentioned in the list above will run as usual with no change in their operating hours or frequencies.
