STENDEN University of Applied Sciences-Qatar held a two-day orientation programme to welcome its newly admitted students to the university, who will be studying on one of its five different academic programmes.
This year for the first time in its history, Stenden University of Applied Sciences-Qatar welcomed its pioneer batch of graduate students who will start their studies in one of the two newly-accredited postgraduate programmes a Master's degree in International Leisure, Tourism and Event Management, and a Master's degree in International Hospitality and Service Management.
The orientation programme was designed to help new students adapt to the new academic and social environments within the university. Newcomers were taken to a tour of the campus. They also met lecturers and learnt about different student services on the campus. They attended various workshops on study skills and had familiarisation sessions on how to use the facilities.
During the programme, a number of presentations were conducted by faculty members, support staff and alumni who shared relevant information with new students. The programme which also included entertainment activities and games was a rich experience for both new and senior students who participated in the event.
