The programme includes Johannes Brahms: Academic Festival Overture, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: Concerto in C Major for flute and harp, and Antonn Dvorak: Symphony No. 7 in D Minor.
The QPO performs and promotes western and Arabic music in order to inspire the children and adults of Qatar and the Arab world to create and enjoy music.
The orchestra was founded in 2007 with 101 musicians who were chosen by a jury of international music professionals through auditions held in European and Arab countries.
The Philharmonic held its inaugural concert on October 30, 2008. It was conducted by Lorin Maazel. (QNA)
