Qatar has condemned the storming of Khan Al Ahmar village by Israeli forces, saying the move aims at changing its demography and historic identity.
Qatar joined other countries that called on the Israeli forces to refrain from demolishing the village, condemning the decision of the Israeli Supreme Court which gave the green light to this crime.
In a statement on Thursday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said demolishing Khan Al Ahmar village, which stretches between Al Quds and Jericho, is a new escalation and another blow to the two-state peace process and the establishment of a Palestinian state on the 1967 territories with East Al Quds as its capital.
"This step represents a clear manifestation of Israeli intentions that do not seek to resolve and bring peace but seeks a force policy and imposes fait accompli," the statement said.
It said Qatar calls on the international society and UN Security Council to prevent Israel from taking this such actions and ensure that the Israeli government abides by all international treaties related to the Palestinian issue and human rights.
