Sri Lankan ex-Prez Rajapaksa in India, meets former PM

NEW DELHI: Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress President Rahul Gandhi met former Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa in Delhi on Thursday. Congress leader Anand Sharma was present at the meeting but no details of the discussions were immediately available. Manmohan Singh was the Prime Minister when Sri Lanka, then led by Rajapaksa, crushed the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) in May 2009, ending almost three decades of ethnic conflict that cost thousands of lives.
