Qatar Petroleum (QP) is supporting the 'Made in Qatar 2018' exhibition in Oman as a partner of the event's energy sector, a press release from Qatar Chamber said on Wednesday.
The expo, which is being held for the second time overseas will be organised by Qatar Chamber in cooperation with the Ministry of Energy and Industry and Qatar Development Bank (QDB) as strategic partner on an area of 10,000 sqm at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Center (OCEC) in Muscat.
Scheduled to be held from November 5-9, the expo aims to exchange experiences with Omani companies in the industrial sectors, as well as to introduce Omanis to Qatari products and opening up new foreign markets to small and large Qatari companies.
QP's keenness on sponsoring the expo comes in the context of its serious endeavours aiming at developing the industrial sector of the country, particularly that the exhibition presents an ideal platform that brings together various industries.It also enhances the efforts being exerted for the advantage of the economic diversification.
Commenting on the sponsorship agreement, Qatar Chamber Director General Saleh bin Hamad al Sharqi said QP's interest in supporting the expo significantly reflects its keenness on developing the Qatar's industrial sector.
Sharqi also praised the role played by the company in the industrial field and in the national economy in general. QP sponsoring the event will enrich its outcomes, he pointed out, assuring that the expo will be a great opportunity enablingvisitors to identify the development that Qatari products witness year after year.
It offers a good chance for Qatari firms to recognise the Omani market and promote their products in Oman as well as review enhancing cooperation with Omani companies and establishing joint industrial ventures.
