HEAD of the elections committee at the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement Fernando Cardenas praised the great humanitarian role the State of Qatar plays all over the world, helping victims of natural disasters and conflicts.
He highlighted the role and initiatives of Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) at the international and regional level, as an active member of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, saying that it made remarkable contributions to achieving the movement's objectives and mission.
Speaking to Qatar News Agency in Doha, Cardenas said that Qatar is a very strong and important country that is growing not only in the Arabic space, but also in the international community. He added that the movement is aware of QRCS' strong organisation and active participation in providing humanitarian services. He then highlighted how Qataris in general were committed to humanitarian work.
