Social Development Center (NAMA) celebrated the graduation of a new batch of Youth Capacities Building Program 'Tamayoz NAMA', a programme for training trainers.
The programme aimed to activate the collaboration agreement between NAMA and Qatar University Students Leadership Center (QU-SLC) to provide youth with training skills that would help them develop their abilities and to be able to influence their community.
The three-week programme enabled young people to improve their training levels and expand their options through various training programmes that helped them earn many of training skills that supported them to pass programme.
Around 20 male/female delegates benefited from 36-hour Youth Capacities Building Program 'Tamayoz NAMA'. Alumni of the first batch managed the training of third year university students to develop capacities of trainers and enhance their individual skills to be socially productive.
The ceremony was attended by Maryam Abdullatif al Mannai, Community Services manager, NAMA, and Dr Farhan Jack, director of Department of Leadership and Community Service at Qatar University.
Speaking on the occasion, Mannai said,"Tamayoz NAMA has achieved its goal which was designed carefully to expand options before youth and enhance trainers' skills and capacities.
"We are proud to be one of the key players in supporting youth, empowering and qualifying them to lead the future and to strengthen the status of our beloved country Qatar under the patronage of the Amir His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani and his continuous support for youth and his vision for youth empowerment and investment in human beings.
She pointed out that the Center continues to provide programmes, ideas and initiatives that support community and pave the way for youth to rehabilitate others in line with Qatar's ambitions to invest in the country's resources and capacities towards development of society and empowerment of youth.
She thanked QU for the fruitful collaboration that resulted in NAMA goals achievement.
She also congratulated the programme's alumni and trainers.
In her remarks, Fatima al Emadi, head of Student Leadership Section at Qatar University, thanked NAMA for its efforts in developing youth skills.
Tefleh al Kubaisi, a student and an alumnus of the programme, said:"This kind of programme seeks to help students develop themselves and prepare them to be successful trainers in the future. The program benefited me personally as my self confidence has been enhanced. It has motivated me to deliver workshops in the future."
