Top Saudi leaders deployed a 15-man hit squad to kill dissident journalist Jamal Khashoggi inside Riyadh's consulate in Istanbul, The New York Times reported on Tuesday.
Khashoggi was killed and the body dismembered in the consulate by the assassination team which included a forensic expert who brought a bone saw to dissect the body, the report said citing an unidentified senior Turkish official.
The hit squad finished the murder operation within two hours and departed Turkey for various countries, the source told NYT, citing information from 'top Turkish officials'.
"It is like Pulp Fiction," the Turkish official was quoted as saying, referring to the graphically-violent 1994 Hollywood movie by director Quentin Tarantino.
In another shocking revelation, a top Turkish official told NYT that Turkish intelligence had obtained a video of the killing, made by the Saudis to prove that it had occurred."There is a video of the moment of him being killed," he said.
