Most parts of the country received heavy rains yesterday, accompanied by thunder and hail showers in some places.
Rain emergency teams were seen removing waters from areas such as Abu Hamour, Mesaieed and Bani Hajar.
According to Qatar Meteorology Department (MeT), thundery showers, accompanied by strong, dusty winds, are expected on Friday and Saturday. The MeT cautioned motorists of poor visibility owing to dust storms in some places.
Director of Qatar Meteorology Department Abdulla Mohamed al Mannai told Qatar Tribune,"Mild and moderate rain will continue on Friday and Saturday. It is expected to intensify on Sunday and Monday, followed by a drop in temperatures."
Scattered rains will continue until the end of October and temperatures will drop to 23 degree Celsius within three days, according to the MeT.
