The German National Gymnastics Team, currently in Doha to participate in the 48th Artistic Gymnastics World Championships, visited the German International School Doha on Sunday.
The students of the German International School Doha had the opportunity to get some insight into the life of the top athletes.
To start off the session, which was attended by German Ambassador to Qatar HE Hans-Udo Muzel and school principal Dirk Dillschneider, two grade 5 students, Jana Heinemann and Manar Hassabou, performed their best gymnastic exercises in front of the national team and their fellow students.
The athletes then shared some of their experiences in a question and answer session.
"A lot of training, a lot of discipline and the strong will to win is the key to success," said the athletes.
The school's principal welcomed the athletes and thanked them for their visit to the school.
Ambassador Muzel used the opportunity to wish the gymnasts the best of success at the World Championships which will continue until November 3, 2018.
