THE Cultural Village Foundation Katara opened on Wednesday an art exhibition titled 'The Wall' featuring works of Palestinian artist Hayyan Mnawer at Building 22.
The opening of the art exhibition was attended by Ambassador of Palestine to Qatar HE Muneer Ghannam and several other dignitaries and connoisseurs of art.
The exhibition consists of 33 paintings, which, according to the artist Mnawer, have humans as the common and main figure."The wall is the obstacles that prevent a person from reaching his aspirations and freedom in life. There are many walls in our lives that we try to cross through", he added.
Mnawer conveyed his deep gratitude to Katara for hosting his exhibition and supporting him to pursue his art.
Hayyan Mnawer was born and brought up in Qatar and holds a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from Damascus Syria.
The exhibition will continue until November 20 at Gallery 2 of Building 22.
