The Ahmed Mohamad Kobeissi trained Almuheet from Belgium, and saddled by jockey Saleem Golam emerged on top winning the QR100,000 Losail Cup for purebred Arabian horses at the Qatar Racing & Equestrian Club (QREC) racecourse in Al Rayyan on Thursday.
Almuheet trained by Mohammed Ghazali Jahromi and ridden by Harry Bentley finished ahead of Qatar's Rassan.
Lucky Sand from the US, trained by Hamad Ahmed al Malki al Jehani, and guided by Jean Baptiste Hamel settled for the third place.
The QR100,000 Wathnan Cup for thoroughbreds was clinched by Khataaf, which is trained by Ibrahim Saeed Ibrahim al Malki.
Ridden by jockey Jimmy Quinn, Khataaf pipped Tamih trained by Georges Mikhalides and which was ridden by Jean Baptiste Hamel.
Trainer Jassim Mohammed Ghazali Jahromi's Domfront, ridden by Harry Bentley was third.
Earlier, Bentley had guided Wayside Flower of trainer Jassim Mohammed Ghazali Jahromi to victory in the Al Ghariya Cup run over a distance of 1400.
Vona, also trained by Jassim Mohammed Ghazali Jahromi, and saddled by JP Guillambert, was the runner-up.
Izghawa, from the US, under trainer Ibrahim Saeed Ibrahim al Malki, was guided to a third-placed finish by Jimmy Quinn.
