Katara Hospitality, a leading global hotel owner, developer and operator based in Qatar, has introduced the ‘Go Local, Buy Local, Eat Local’ initiative in celebration of Qatar’s homegrown products on the occasion of Qatar National Day.
It will be offered from December 14 to 18 at three of most strategic locations in Qatar -- The Ritz-Carlton Doha, Sheraton Grand Doha Resort, and Sharq Village & Spa, a Ritz-Carlton Hotel.
“‘Go Local, Buy Local, Eat Local’ initiative supports the social and environmental sustainability defining the Qatar National Vision 2030. Through the initiative, Katara Hospitality aims to offer its distinguished guests unique and diversified experiences that are reminiscent of the authenticity of Qatari heritage and Arabic culture. Katara Hospitality places high importance on initiatives that enhance combines product offering while highlighting the passion for creating the ultimate guest experiences,” said a press statement from Katara Hospitality.
As part of the initiative, Sharq Village & Spa will be opening its doors from December 14 to 18 with a specially-curated ‘Arabian Souq’ experience, which will be sure to stay in the hearts of its loyal patrons for years to come.
Sheraton Grand Doha Resort & Convention Hotel has been a part of Qatar’s identity for the past 36 years. Over the past three decades, it has earned its position as an iconic property that is committed to the nation and its people, who have been instrumental to its success and evolution. The Ritz-Carlton Doha will use the occasion to support the good work of local Qataris by showcasing their artwork and various local products. The hotel will host a variety of activities for all ages to celebrate on this joyous occasion. The focal point will be a gingerbread ‘Dhow’, a traditional boat that embraces the country’s history and traditions.
