Minister of Commerce and Industry HE Ali bin Ahmed al Kuwari has issued a decree establishing a Qatari company for labour recruitment (WIZA).
The private Qatari shareholding company with a capital of QR58 million will be represented by the ministries of justice, labour, interior, trade, industry and finance.
The formation of the company aims at bringing in workers from abroad and providing employment services to all parties.
It will also provide training and rehabilitation programmes and rotate employment of labourers within the country.
As per the decision, the company may open branches inside or outside Qatar to achieve its objectives according to the law. The company will operate in accordance with the provisions and teachings of the Islamic Sharia.
The company’s board of directors may also add other activities in the commercial register without the need to hold a general assembly.
The term of the company shall be 50 years from the date of its registration in the Commercial Register and publication of its establishment in the Official Gazette.
