NEARLY 24 per cent of Qatar’s total foreign investments are in the US alone, while the US investments in Qatar total around QR26.3 billion, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs HE Lulwah al Khater has said.
He also noted that more than 658 private US companies are operating in Qatar.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the second Qatar-US Strategic Dialogue held in Doha Sunday, Khater expressed satisfaction with the level of the Qatar-US ties, while looking forward to more cooperation for the prosperity of the Qatari and American people.
Khater said a number of consultation and discussion sessions were held during the strategic dialogue to enhance coordination in different areas including counter-terrorism efforts.
In the field of education, Khater said that Qatar hosts six American universities in the Education City, which are all working effectively to enhance the quality of education and research.
