The Ministry of Transportation and Communication (MoTC) on Sunday launched 25 e-services for marine transport affairs.
The new services relating to small and large vessels can be accessed on mobile phones, smart devices and the ministry’s website.
The apps will also display valuable information about MoTC and its events.
Director of International Relations and Acting Director of Public Relations and Communications at MoTC Noor Shahdad said, “This comes in the context of MoTC’s ongoing endeavours to deploy e-government system standards nationwide as well as the objectives of the Qatar Digital Government 2020 Strategy, which aim to better serve individuals and businesses, create efficiency in government administration and increase government openness.”
Director of e-Goverment Programmes and Standards Director and Acting MoTC’s Information Systems Dept Mashal Ali al Hamadi said the application “is now available on Apple and Android stores, making it easier and faster to reach the ministry’s information, events, news and services published on the MoTC website.”
The MoTC would have nearly 50 services by the end of this year, Hamadi told Qatar Tribune.
